2024 Annual General Meeting/Information Evening
Golden Square Kindergarten is owned and managed by its parents through a Committee of Management. This year again we will be hosting our AGM/Information Evening via a Zoom Meeting.
We welcome all 2025 families to our AGM and Information Evening for Golden Square Kindergarten.
The meeting starts at 7pm but we ask families to enter the meeting and register from 6.30pm. Invites will be sent via email a week prior to the meeting. Please ensure your name and your child’s name from your enrolment form is written in the group chat at the beginning of the meeting so we can mark attendance.
We ask that all families attend the meeting, as it is essential we vote in a Committee of Management from our families so we can run the kinder for 2025. If we don’t have a Committee of Management voted in on the night kinder cannot operate in 2025.

The AGM meeting will run as close to a typical AGM as possible, please read the Presidents, Directors and Treasures reports on our website prior to the AGM. These reports will be live the week prior.
If you have any difficulties accessing the meeting or IT concerns please give the kinder a call on 54437668.
If no Committee is elected we cannot offer our kindergarten program for 2025, as we cannot operate without a Committee of Management. Please consider helping us by joining the Committee of Management.
To join the meeting on a PC or laptop simply click on the blue link at 6.30pm (you don't have to have a Zoom account on your computer). It will ask you to Join with Audio and Join With Video. Click Yes.
If you wish to access our meeting via an iPhone or Android Phone you will need to download the Zoom app on your phone. If you send the link to your phone you should be able to click on it and the app should automatically open. If not you can use the invitation details to log on through the application on your phone by typing in the 'Meeting ID' at the top of your screen and clicking 'Join.' Zoom will ask you to allow it to access your Video and Audio.
It can be challenging to conduct an online meeting with such a large group. Therefore we ask the following:
- Please ensure your microphone is on mute during the AGM
- Please type your name or your child’s name in the group chat upon entry so we can mark your attendance.
- Please log onto the meeting from 30 minutes before the 7pm start time so we can admit everyone to the meeting and start as scheduled.
- Once everyone has arrived and we know everyone's audio and video is working we will mute everyone so that President and Director can commence the meeting.

If you are interested in being on our Committee of Management for 2024 we are holding a separate Committee Information Zoom meeting a week prior to the AGM where you can ask questions of our current Committee about their roles and responsibilities prior to nominating. This meeting will be held on Thursday 26th October 7pm. Please contact the kindergarten if you would like an invite to attend on 54437668 or fill in the slip in your enrolment pack. The hand over meeting for the Committee of Management will be on Monday the 20th of November 2023.
